In baptism, we affirm that we belong to the God who is made known to us in Jesus and we promise (or, if we are infants or very young children, promises are made on our behalf) to live our lives in accordance with this deepest truth about who we are. Confirmation in the Episcopal Church is a sacramental rite in which a baptized person makes a mature and public affirmation of our baptismal vows.
Confirmation Class for 6th Graders Begins August 12!
Confirmation class for this year’s sixth graders will begin on August 12 with a meeting for both parents and confirmands at 3:30 p.m. in the Little Church. At this meeting we’ll look at the schedule for the year; discuss expectations and answer any questions you might have. This is an important meeting to attend so that we can all begin the year together and move forward at this exciting time in the lives of your sixth grader.
If you haven’t already received a letter about confirmation class beginning, please contact Ben in the parish office to make sure your sixth grader is signed up. We look forward to seeing you and your confirmand on August 12!
