Children & Youth Ministries

Sunday School

Sunday School meets each week during the 10:00 am Family Service. Our staff and dedicated volunteers consider ministering to your children both a calling and a blessing. We don’t underestimate the importance of a child’s spiritual life and look forward to nurturing that all year long.

Please join us, serve with us, and watch the children grow in God’s love with us. For more information, please contact Miranda Dismukes at miranda@stpmobile.com.

“Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.” Deuteronomy 32:2

Vacation Bible School

Each year in June, St. Pauls offers Vacation Bible School. Plans and scheduling vary somewhat from year to year, and are announced in the spring.

Acolytes

Acolytes assist the clergy in leading worship. They carry the cross and candles to lead the procession, help with setting the altar for Communion, and assist in other small but vital ways during worship. Youth acolytes generally receive training during the confirmation process, but additional trainings may be offered periodically. If a young person in your family would like to serve in this way, please contact the church office, so that we may include them!

Acolyte Advisors: Mrs. Catherine Tubbs, Mrs. Ann Marie Brooks, Mr. Dwight Lambert, Mrs. Patricia Powe, and Mrs. Dalton Daves

Confirmation

Youth Confirmation classes take place each year and are open to our sixth graders as we prepare them to take on the promises made at their baptism. This class is based upon a model developed at St. Paul’s and is led by Fr. Pete and a faithful group of adult mentors.

In these confirmation classes we explore the role of Holy Scripture in our life of faith, the dimensions of prayer and worship, and how our Episcopal tradition informs our way of living in the world.

If you have a sixth grader or are interested in helping in any way, please contact the Church Office.
